при попытке сформули сказа охарактеризовать, какое приложение я сейчас пишу, в голове возникла формулировка "severely multithreaded".

Do you use completion ports, by the way?

I don't even know what that means. I am serious. Can you give me some links for self-education?

Don't bother, brother. It's a lousy concept. MSDN, if you insist.

Whatever the URL is, its hostname is msdn.microsoft.com. I've never used them myself, but I heard that perversely multithreaded Win32 applications are recommended to utilize that completion port thing. It's more or less like Win32 sync objects crossbred with Unix select call, with some steroids added.
