Remember what we went over last Monday at Practice. The Smack Doubles Teams are all Tall and Rangy. They will use the I-Formation. Since they are Tall, hit them with low topspin rollers and chips at their feet. ( Tall guys hate to bend low) Save the Lobs for later ( they will sky and hit overheads) Establish low shots first, they will have to close the net to counter then hit them with deep lobs. After this play a MIX. When they do I-Formation: Drop to 2 back behind the baseline and pepper them with 3 star passing shots and then sprinkle in some CC lobs. Return the Serve either Downline Star or if they are jumpers, pound the Center Star. Joe Mucci is a Lefty, when he is on the Add ct., pound the center star, it will be double backhands in the middle. Turn about is fair play, run the I-Formation vs them !! Singles Players: As I recall their Singles Players are inconsistent, they hit big, miss big. Run all balls down and grind them out, 10-15-20 ball rallies. Hit a ton of groundstrokes CC. Any Tiebreakers: be the first to 3 pts, the first to 5 pts, the first to 7 pts and then the first to 10 !! We are the better team, play to our abilities and we take this Squad plain and simple.

During local league competition and at every level of Championship competition through out the Section, dynamic ratings are calculated for all players for each match.
In your case you have a self rating of 3.0 but have elected to play on a 3.5 team. We are happy to advise you that your current matches have put you into a 3.5 level, so we are promoting your rating to a 3.5 for any further league play. You will see this change of rating in Find A Rating and also on your team rosters.
There are no penalties to you or your team as you are already playing at the higher level. This promotion is done to prevent you from registering at the 3.0 level which could lead to a disqualification. You do not need to do anything at this point, except go out and continue playing and have fun.
You will have to adjust your rating on any of the Mixed doubles teams you are registered on to reflect the new playing level. If your Mixed league is finished do not worry about this. A copy of this will be sent to your Coordinator. Please inform your captains of this rating change.

Apr. 7th, 2011 02:57 pmво, забыл рассказать. я же на выходных у президента банка выиграл, в рамках официального USTA турнира уровня 3.5. причём выиграл безо всякой пользы, поскольку все остальные, мягко говоря, члены команды свои матчи проиграли.
жена узнала, сказала "ну и дурак, лучше бы проиграл, но с президентом банка познакомился".

только что на вопрос, почему он всё время выигрывает у Хьюита, Федерер ничтоже сумняшеся ответил "I just have more raw talent".

как вы думаете, почему комментаторы произносят "Кузнéцова", но "Шарапóва"? по какому правилу ставится ударение? пока что у меня только одна версия - нельзя произносить правильно, остальное неважно.

Sep. 2nd, 2009 01:05 pmкак-то мне обсуждение рабочих вопросов с пиэмами по emailу в последнее время напоминает теннис. аргумент - как мяч, чем сильнее, тем меньше шансов, что противник коллега адеватно ответит / вернёт мяч. иной аргумент напоминает "свечку", посланную от безысходности: easily attackable, можно вмочить со всей силы (но можно и промахнуться), а можно аккуратно выиграть пойнт through redirection.
