я не понимаю, как round-trip time из сиэтла до сан хосе может занимать 9 ms. это же быстрее скорости света. или пинг показывает RTT/2?

If modern OS is prefetching results of the commands stored in CPU cache similar to browsers prefetching pages for the links on the current page, then the result can even be negative.

ping has nothing to do with browsers and pages.
